Life can be challenging and many times, we need someone to help us through the journey of self reflection, insight and conflict resolution. I look forward to working with you to alleivate stress, increase coping strategies, improve communications skills and find more fulfuillment in your relationships. If you are willing to take the time and put forth the effort to improve your mental health, I would be honored to be a part of it and to help you reach your personal and professional goals.
With 30 years of experience as a psychotherapist, counselor, and educator, I have gained an expertise in working with individuals, couples and families to improve their emotional and mental health. I work with couples to help them learn to give each other the freedom to be themselves and to turn commitment into joy, passion, and friendship. In working with individuals, I specialize in personal growth, alleviating stress, anxiety and depression, resolving conflicts and family issues, and significant life changes. My counseling style is eclectic based on the needs and goals of my clients. However, my primary theoretical orientation is cognitive behavioral therapy with the focus on shifting one’s thinking to a more proactive frame of mind in order to enjoy the moments in life. This includes caring for your emotional and mental health and ways to reduce stress and anxiety. Helping individuals find the core issues that can cause depression, sadness, anxiety, panic, and addictions and prevent one from being the best that they can be. Helping individuals create changes in their thinking, skills, and behaviors to move forward by managing emotions, self control, and letting anger and frustrations go. Assisting couples keep love alive and save marriages and if wanted and needed to take them apart in order to lesson the chaos and trauma to the individuals and family. Encouraging parents with parenting skills to instill respect and responsibility in their children and stepparents to create successful step families. I look forward to helping and motivating you to take the first steps in this change.
Thank you for all of your help and encouragement. I'm grateful for your non-judgmental, warm, and kind guidance, it really helped me get here. I'm eternally grateful.
